If the Mona Lisa Winks at You, Don’t Freak OutWritten by Katrina Radic / Featured in: Advertising, Agency, Creative / 15.07.2013.
Orange wanted to show its customers that travelling is full of surprises with a mind-boggling stunt involving the famous Mona Lisa painting.
Given that most people are reluctant to use their mobile phones abroad, fearing the cost of using them, Orange’s goal was to show that travelling really is full of good as well as bad surprises, but that the only thing travellerres will not be surprised about is their phone bill when using the brand’s clear Go Europe offer.
With a digital fake Mona Lisa painting and the help of Publicis, the campaign will be seen throughout YouTube, Daily Motion and Orange’s social networks, as well as on web banners and print.
Not as weird as the whispering windows, but shocking – and engaging – enough!
