Men Care for What Matters in New Dove Men + Care CampaignWritten by Marija Milosevic / Featured in: Advertising / 14.03.2013.
In addition to showing that behind all the success a man can reach professionally lies a need to be the best in the field of fatherhood, Dwyane Wade, a two-time professional basketball champion and a nine-time All-Star, alongside with college sport analyst Jay Bilas star in the new Dove Men + Care campaign. During this years’ NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball tournament, this new campaign, dubbed “Real Moments”, will provide the opportunity for all sport fans to take a peek into the private lives of college basketball icons. The Vice President for Unilever Skincare, Rob Candelino underlined the significance of those moments in men’s lives that really matter:
When fans learn that playing ‘Defense’ for Dwyane Wade means teaching his son how to guard a mini-hoop in his living room, instead of a fellow player during a professional game, it hits home where men today place priority – caring for their family comes first.
The campaign points out all the joy paternity entails through a series of videos which will air as commercials throughout NCAA March Madness programming as part of Unilever’s 14-year corporate partnership with CBS Sport and Turner Sport. Emphasizing that his life has been bigger than basketball since he became a father, NBA champion and Miami Heat star said that the real moments in his Dove Men + Care campaign capture the joy and excitement he and his boys feel when they are all together:
Being a father is the most rewarding aspect of my life and my children teach me, just as much as I teach them.
After releasing a project called the “Real Beauty” campaign just a while ago, which definitely draw some attention, Dove signed up with a basketball star who’s all about daddy duty. Pure gold, if you ask me – It must be some kind of a “March Madness” of their own.
