McLean Design was recently tasked with designing the identity and package for the DiBella Baking Company, an over 100-years-old family-run premium Italian cookie and biscotti brand.

DiBella was created in the 1800s by the DiBella family; In 2010 the DiBella family united together to form and create the DiBella brand, which would still be using recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. McLean had the company’s 100-year-old history in mind when designing the visual components for DiBella, using it as an inspiration. McLean Design commented that:

The overall effect highlights the DiBella family history of baking with love, which permeates these authentic Italian indulgences.

With the family’s great grandmother and matriarch Josephine enshrined in the new brand mark and the black and gold pin-striped packaging with natural light product photography, the brand exudes history, love and luxury, reflecting on the premium content it holds while honoring the DiBella family and its tradition. Alongside the adequate vintage-like ornaments and typography also featured on the packaging, the DiBella products will surely stand out among competitors on store shelves.
