Samsung is now well known for picking on competitors; This time, instead of focusing on Apple, the brand turned to a new competitor – RIM – which will soon be launching its BlackBerry 10.
In the new ad, which aired during the NFC Championship game on Sunday night, Samsung pokes fun at BlackBerry users while promoting its Galaxy Note II smartphone with SAFE technology as “the next big thing for business”.
The ad shows an office in which a game called “Unicorn Apocalypse” is under development on a tight schedule. The employees are told that they can use any smartphone they want; most of them turn to Samsung while others have trouble leaving their BlackBerry’s, worrying if Samsung’s safe enough for work.
