Hyundai’s Hyper-Matrix Installation by Srdjan Toljagic

Projection mapping is becoming a thing among brands like Virgin, Fiat and many more but Hyundai just set the bar way high. Created by Seoul based media arts group Jonpasang, Hyper-Matrix is an installation created for the Hyundai Motor Group Exhibition Pavilion in Korea, the 2012 Yeosu EXPO site. What makes this mapping different than others is that it has an actual steel construction that supports thousands of 30×30 cm cubes operated by motors and video mapping on top of that.

The cubes also respond to sound so the audience is a part of the projection. As if it wasn’t awesome enough already. Hyundai really loves their multimedia promotions, check out their partnership with The Recording Academy (known for the Grammy Awards) for the 2012 Veloster launch.
