Oreo ‘Twists’ its Cookie to Commemorate Mars Curiosity Landing by Katrina Radic

Oreo has commemorated the Mars Curiosity landing by going red. This is a part of Oreo’s Daily Twist project that was launched to celebrate the cookie’s 100th anniversary on June 25th, when a gay pride cookie appeared on the brand’s Facebook page making fans confused, happy and disappointed at the same time. But, from that moment forward, Oreo has celebrated the most important news of each day (and will keep doing so until 2nd October), hence the Curiosity cookie.

By giving the cookie ‘a twist’ we can clearly see it represents an area on mars with the rovers ‘space tracks’.

This, and the whole Twist project, is a very smart, creative and wonderfull way to celebrate achievements while integrating the brand in all of them, thus making you, me, Oreo and everyone else together a part of the worlds most important news and events.
