Domino’s Pizza Readies New Logo by Srdjan Toljagic
All of Domino’s past and recent efforts are focused on pushing online ordering as it is becoming a thing in the pizza business. They give 50% off to online orders, embedded a whole new marketing strategy and they have even let you order directly from billboards. Now it seems that Domino’s is preparing the world for their new logo, as they introduced it only to New Zealand so far.
“It was time to improve the one thing that signifies our brand – by creating a new clean, crisp and strong brand logo that reflects our new directions.” says Domino’s CEO Don Meij.
They’ve completely dropped the word pizza from their logo and the old diamond shape was replaced with a new simpler tile shape that, in my opinion, looks much better.
Mr. Meij says that with this move they want to show the consumers that the company has changed from the inside and that they believe that this logo is the right way to make people think differently about Domino’s. Over the next few weeks Domino’s will be incorporating the new logo into all advertising, marketing material and digital platforms in NZ.
