Coca-Cola Makes the Olympic Games Shine to the Fullest by Branding Magazine

With the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games about to begin, Coca-Cola demonstrated its influence and going beyond everyone’s expectations by showing that big ideas can become reality. The official campaign for the Olympics, Move to the Beat, provided fans of the brand with opportunities like:

- Olympic Torch Relay – the opportunity to carry the Olympic Flame, given to the 1,300 inspirational “Future Flames”

- Integrated Marketing Campaign – Move to the Beat – a global marketing campaign designed to bring young people to London 2012, support and inspire them to follow their passions and dreams

- Global Anthem, Documentary & TV Commercial – Coca-Cola collaboration with Mark Ronson and Katy B in order to create the campaign anthem, Anywhere in the World. The global TV commercial features the anthem and sounds of athletes like Kseniya Vdovina, Maria Espinoza, Darius Knight, David Oliver and Dayyan Jaffar

- Coca-Cola Presents: Beat TV – presented by Laura Whitmore, Darren McMullen and Dave Berry. The show, which will be broadcasted from July 30 until August 10, will present the social side of the Games and include interviews with sport stars

- Coca-Cola Beatbox – located in the Olympic Park, an incredible structure which acts as a musical instrument

- Games-time Refreshment – as the official sponsor, Coca-Cola will offer a wide range of drinks at the Olympic or Paralympic Games, depending on the needs of 14,000 athletes, 7,000 officials, 20,000 workers, volunteers and more than 6 million spectators

- Powerade Sports Academy – lasts for one week during the Games and Gives amateurs an opportunity to train with professionals and develop their skills. It also provides inspirational lectures, hydration and nutrition tips

- Physical Activity Programmes – enable athletes, who otherwise would not be able to, to compete.

- Legacy – making London 2012 the most sustainable Olympic Games ever
