Since people tend to forget the beauty of the beginnings, Kellogg’s decided to refresh our memory. Today, just a few days before the start of the Olympic Games, it is clear that the finish line gets all the fame. Therefore, Kellogg’s, in a first-ever advertisement to air during the Opening Ceremony, asks: “Why Does the Finish Get All of the Glory”.

As an official sponsor of the US Olympic Committee, Kellogg’s praises the true importance of the start. Rebbecca Soni is the protagonist of Kellogg’s new advertisement. Soni is a 2012 US Olympic Swimmer, Team Kellogg’s athlete and three-time Olympic medalist.

“You really cannot overlook the importance of those early moments, the ways we wake up to each new day, fuel ourselves and set off on our way – whether we’re bounding off to school, work or the Olympic Games,” said Doug VanDeVelde, senior vice president of Morning Foods, Kellogg Company. “That’s why Kellogg’s is proud to champion the start for all the potential it embodies.”

“I know how crucial starting each day right has been to uncovering my own potential,” said Soni. “That’s why it’s so exciting that I can now showcase the start of my journey on the national stage as part of Kellogg’s ‘From Great Starts Come Great Things’ campaign.”

Kellogg’s made it possible for all the brand’s fans around the globe to check out the parts of the commercial by visiting Kelloggs.com/teamusa. Fans are provided with an insight into unique underwater camera angles, and to find out how the idea of “The Start” developed and how important nutrition is when starting each day.

“Start Stories” is a detailed representation of the importance of the beginning for all nine of Team Kellogg’s athletes and it serves as a true inspiration for all the ones out there trying to fulfill their dreams.

These nine detailed individual journeys can be viewed at Kelloggs.com/teamusa, where users can find out more about exquisite athletes like Soni, Sanders and Walsh, Michael Landers, Jake Kaminski. Dwight Phillips, Juan Agudelo, Jordyn Wieber and Casey Tibbs.

Moreover, Kelloggs started a series of nutritional videos, called “Start like a Champion“, created as a product of a collaboration between Kellogg’s and USOC. Team Kellogg’s athlete Summer Sanders is the one testifying how important nutrition is, giving tips, as well as secrets that have helped Team USA to score great results.
