Doritos Sensational Salsa in a 3D Experience by Branding Magazine

Fitzroy Amsterdam agency has created an outstanding campaign in order to introduce Doritos’ consumers to the new flavor – Sensational Salsa. Young people are smitten by the creativity of the new campaign. Apparently, the creators have made a 3D world, let it come to life and enabled its players to make a transition from daily life into flashy, electric nightlife. That is accompanied by the new flavor, introduced as a snack.

As a part of the game, players are enabled to invite each other to form a triangle and take a late night trip to Moscow, Istanbul and Berlin. Participants can be located on Google Maps and hence are able to get in touch with others to party with. The source for the online video, created by Woodwork, is Doritos Sensational Salsa TV commercial.

“We enhanced this nightly neon-world by executing the intro film in a graphic novel-esque, film noir style. Our challenge was to create a world in which the rules of the game are explained and at the same time excite users to participate in it. By creating a 3d world from scratch and mixing it with live action footage we managed to let the online gameplay come to life. By integrating these aspects it’s now clear that you’re just a few clicks away from being in the race of winning the Doritos late night triangle trip!” says Woodwork.
