Does “making things better” tagline ring any bells? If you thought of Virgin brand, you were right. This is the tagline that has been leading the company through 40 years of very diversified business ventures.

One of their latest, Virgin Money, which was been announced at the beginning of 2012, just started to take shape as the first Virgin Money Store has been opened in Guildford, England.

The Store replaces an old Northern Rock branch, the bank Virgin has bought in order to start the Virgin Money venture.

Kerry Merrington, manager at the newly opened store, praised the new banking concept:

“I am delighted to be able to welcome Virgin Money customers to our first fully re-branded Store. The facilities available to customers are very different to a normal bank branch. As well as having access to all Virgin Money and Northern Rock products, customers can simply come in, take the weight off their feet, enjoy a cup of tea and use our free facilities.”

The new Store really promises something special, if it is to judge by the pictures. Free use of iPads, iMacs and wireless Internet, as well as a cozy atmosphere is just not something that can be often seen in high street banks. Eventually, it is Virgin that we’re talking about here. They make 270 degrees video projections and are about to take civilians to space, we couldn’t have expected that they would launch something already seen, right?
