Chandon, a California based winery – subsidiary of  LVMH (Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton), has unveiled a limited edition bottle that will be retailed across the United States between June 1 and September 1. London’s Butterfly Cannon was the agency in charge for the design of the bottle, who took inspiration from the Memorial and Labor Day – holidays marking the start and end of the American summer. The colorway is partially derived from the American flag (patriot red and blue stripes), and partially from the Hampton style yachting wear (the dominant white background and the light blue stripes).

The bottle is accompanied with matching ice buckets, towels, deck chairs, tote bags – or in other words, everything you could imagine taking on a yacht on a beautiful sunny day.

If you take Coca Cola’s limited edition Olympic Games bottle, Red Bull Travis Pastrana can, or Mountain Dew’s Gotham city inspired cans, that’s quite a few limited edition packages we’ve covered on a short course of time. Chandon bottle is the latest in the series, and to be honest, my favorite so far. Maybe it’s my fascination with the whole aesthetics of yachting oriented products, or it is the white wrap-around label combined with the lively colored stripes of perfect thickness that makes the bottle so appealing to me, I don’t know. But one thing is sure, just looking at it made me want to teleport myself on a beach and grab one.
