LEGO Using Kids as Their Lead Designers in “The Duplo Evolution” by Srdjan Toljagic

Who better to build something creative out of LEGO than kids with their crazy imagination. These little designers were commissioned to build in the shop windows at the NK department store in Stockholm on Tuesday 7th. of August between 18.30 and 20.30. This project was made by Jung von Matt, and it’s still a mystery what will be built. The first one to guess will win 5,000 SEK (~$700)prize from Duplo. ”The Duplo Evolution” can be viewed at the spot, or via streaming on this dedicated website, which also has a countdown to the event.

LEGO couldn’t pick better brand ambassadors for this occasion, but they do complicate things a bit when it comes to describing the mysterious object that will be built, do they? They say its green, pink, white, red and yellow, round, flat, edgy, sharp and smells like strawberry’s… in detergent.

Recently, LEGO celebrated their 50 year presence in Australia, made the smallest billboards in the world and launched a social media platform. Still with all these activities, they ranked at 14th place in Kids Brand Index of 2012. Kids these days, with all their gadgets, video games, fast foods… All I ever needed was my favorite set of LEGO’s and I was good to go.
