After many Olympic-related campaigns such as the Torch Relay, The Coca-Cola Beatbox and of course the global Move to the Beat campaign, Coca-Cola now rolled out two limited edition alluminium bottles in Australia, to commemorate the 2012 Olympics. The bottles will hit the market on June 8 and will be available through August in select licensed venues.

I’m kind of disappointed with the overall design of anything Coca-Cola’s done for the 2012 Olympics. The massive tradition and history both the Olympics and London as a city have could have been beautifully used throughout any campaign designs, instead of all of these vibrant anyone-could-make-them shapes and colors (as seen on the bottles above, too). These shapes and colors we see through the overall Coca-Cola Olympic campaigns make the event look absolutely cheap, when, in my opinion, they really, really, should look a bit more sophisticated.
