Experience Digital Weather With Burberry’s ‘World Live’ by Katarina Radovic

The only bright side of bad weather is that you can wear your trench coats, and no one knows that better then Burberry. Celebrating the opening of the first Burberry store in Taipei, Taiwan, the brand literally showed us its adaptation of weather conditions by creating interactive and digital weather in a multi-sensory atmosphere.

The realization of the idea required a custom cylindrical space built in the store with a 360˚ projection wall displaying this live event concept called Burberry World Live. The beautiful contrast of the dark atmosphere and stage lights, in combination with live music and digital weather, were one of the most spectacular fashion events lately. This kind of wide open space with a dominating large film screen must have made visitors feel like they were really experiencing wind, falling leafs or a forest atmosphere around them, and all combined with the latest Burberry collection.

This digital experience event was just the first in a row, and I believe it was certainly one of the Burberry’s most creative projects. The brand is planning to continue with Burberry World Live in the following seasons and present it in Hong Kong, London and Chicago.
