‘Reasons to Believe’ – 8th Coca-Cola’s Sustainability Report

Coca-Cola has released eight Sustainability report titled ‘Reasons to Believe’. It’s a quite interesting review based on stakeholders feedback which will increase brand transparency across its sustainability platform. For the first time, people will be available to access the report from their smart phones or tablets and what’s more exciting is that complete content is available exclusively online.

“Sustainability has been core to our business strategy for nearly 125 years,” said Chief Sustainability Officer Beatriz Perez. “After receiving feedback from a variety of stakeholders, we decided to make some significant changes to our sustainability reporting efforts. In addition to increasing transparency within the content, we have taken a digital approach to make the report more user-friendly and accessible on a variety of mobile devices. As we continue to strengthen our sustainability efforts, we also will innovate the means by which we share our progress.”

The new Sustainability Report provides analyze on the sustainability efforts of the Coca-Cola Company and its almost 300 bottling partners. Company is trying to focus on four main elements: water stewardship, energy efficiency and climate protection, sustainable packaging and healthy communities.  Popular refreshing brand has reported also against the GRI’s key performance indicators in the areas of economic, environmental and social performance which is very good, because the company self-declared a B grade. Important fact is that the report is verified by a third party agency with the overall grade B+.
