Converse Promotes Street Art In Beijing by Dusan Mihajlovic
  • January 20, 2012

Last October Converse hosted Off Canvas in Beijing, a bold street exhibition spotlighting six international and domestic artists which installations are revealing communities and canvases of China’s emerging scenes in indie music, art, fashion and skating. The artists who made all these incredible artworks are Neville BrodyEINE, Benny Luk, Ying Yonghui, SHOE, and Nod Young.

They have showed their work in a mix of unexpected locations: from the quaint hutongs of Wudaoying and the bustling streets of Xidan to the factories of 798 and the live music venue Mao Livehouse. Here are some behind the scenes photos:

For further promotion of the artwork, Converse made a series of short films for every artist (the videos, for some reason, work only in Mozilla Firefox) :

Dusan Mihajlovic
Since his birth, he was always in a move, hyperactive some would say. But nowadays they say he is traveller who does not chase life, but life is chasing him, enthusiastic, keen on music, always trying to expand his wide knowledge, but well organized in his frenzy world with very little spare time. Majoring in International Finances on University of Belgrade, but also keen on developing brands. Favourite quote: Carpe Diem.
