Old Navy Expands Techno World Collection by Branding Magazine

As part of Old Navy’s incredible holiday assortment, the brand rooted in family, fashion, value and fun, announced Techno World, a new collection featuring clothing and accessories with built-in technology as well as a wide range of technological gadgets. All priced to please any budget-conscious shopper, Old Navy’s Techno World items appeal to gadget geeks of all ages on the holiday shopping list this season. Techno World products range from $6.50 to $34.94 and are available in all Old Navy stores in the US and Canada through the end of December.

“We know that technology is at the top of our customers’ wish lists this holiday season,” said Michelle Wlazlo, senior vice president, Old Navy Adult Merchandising and Brand Licensing. “From hoodies for your future rock star to earbuds for music lovers, Old Navy has something for everyone in the family.”

Last year, Old Navy first introduced Techno products with the Techno Hoodie, developed in partnership with HB3 Technology. As a result of its popularity with customers, Old Navy expanded this year’s Techno collection with the introduction of the Techno Hat with HB3 Technology. Both the Techno Hoodie and Hat have HB3 Technology integrated into their design through machine washable earbuds and an input jack that connects with customers’ portable media devices.

In addition to its current partnership with HB3 Technology, Old Navy is jamming with ThinkGeek on Electronic Rock Guitar Tees and Electronic Drum Kit Tees this holiday. To bring out the rock star in everyone, both tees feature touch-sensitive technology that allow customers to literally play their shirts. Mini handheld amplifiers come with each tee so the aspiring musician can strum or drum the tee into their headphones or through a speaker.

Customers will find a variety of other new additions to the 2011 Techno World collection this holiday including, Touch Screen Gloves, in a rainbow of colors, which allow wearers to use their smartphones while keeping their hands warm; a Frost Free Laptop Case, available in four fun colors, a blinged-out iPhone compatible case, and funky DiscoBall Speakers. With items priced to please, shoppers will find perfect stocking stuffers and last-minute gift items for their family and friends!
