Louis Vuitton And Marc Jacobs Book Edition by Katarina Radovic
  • October 10, 2011

Publishing house Rizzoli prepared an upcoming book about French fashion house Louis Vuitton called Louis Vuitton/Marc Jacobs. This New York publishing house is usually focused on editions about art and design. Their research topic is about Louis Vuitton empire at the time of brand founder Louis Vuitton and current head designer Marc Jacobs.

The book author is Pamela Golbin. She divided the book on two parts:

First part is about brand ascendancy through history and development from modest beginning to fashion empire. It’s highlighted by Louis Vuitton illustrations of his early work that public will see for the first time.

Second part will be dedicated to Marc Jacobs era from 1997 and his collaboration with other designers and contemporary artists, such as: Richard Prince, Stephen Sprouse and Takashi Murakami.

I think it’s great that publishing houses are understanding importance of fashion in the field of art, same as value of its history. The book cover is chick with Louis Vuitton signature all over it just like we would expect, and it will be available to the public in Mach 2012.
