Cadbury Launches Twirl Bites by David Brbaklic

Cadbury has decided to give one of their top selling products, Twirl, a younger sibling that can be shared! (for those who are not familiar with the product, Twirl is a bar consisting of thin folds of chocolate dipped in some more chocolate – in fact, chocolate is the only ingredient used to make Twirls).

They have hired Slice Design to come up with the packaging for the new product - Twirl Bites. The packaging is colored with Cadbury’s trademark color – purple, and has a swirly graphic applied to it –  hypnotizing the customers to dive into the playfully textured chocolate pleasure of the “Bites”. The bag itself features a reclosable  mechanism, just in case the eating process gets interrupted.

Here is a quote on the product by Alan Gilbody, Slice Design’s Creative Director:
“We wanted to try and capture the intensity of the product flavour in the design, so we utilised the bold swirl device to draw you into the pack, using the substrate to add depth and intrigue. The side of pack provided a lovely canvas to communicate the product story in the style of a tongue twister”.

Anyone who has tried Cadbury products must agree that they have an uncompromising taste, texture and appeal to them, so Twirl Bites, just being a chopped version of an existing product, continues the tradition.
