Volkswagen really put effort on this campaign. The advertising agency Try in Oslo had a task to highlight fuel consumption of Golf Blue Motion. Blue Motion is a special technology developed by Wolkswagen for higner fuel efficiency.
Using Google Maps, Try agency divided road E6, one of the main roads in the country, into 80.000 segments. Then visitors of bluemotion.no had the opportunity to bet on which segment will Golf ran out of fuel. Public also had a chance to calculate fuel consumption, so it was easier to guess how far will Blue Motion go. Person who placed the correct bet, won the car.
Very creative way of advertising by Volkswagen, but I have to ask them something. Where’s the winner of roulette?
